Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to renovate my bathroom if the grout is mouldy or damaged?
Not necessarily. If the tiles, waterproofing and underlying bathroom are in good condition, replacing the grout and silicone can dramatically improve the appearance without the cost, mess and disruption of a full renovation. We’d rather fix what’s there than rip it out.
Can you remove mouldy or discoloured grout?
Yes. We can remove old, damaged or heavily discoloured grout and replace it with new grout suited to the area. Where appropriate, we can also use epoxy grout for a more durable, stain-resistant finish.
Can you replace individual broken or damaged tiles?
Yes. You don't necessarily need to replace an entire wall or floor because a few tiles are cracked or damaged. We can replace individual tiles where suitable and match the surrounding grout as closely as possible.
Can you fix a leaking shower?
We can investigate and carry out shower resealing work where the problem relates to failed grout, silicone or other accessible surface-level areas. If we identify a problem that requires more extensive waterproofing or building work, we'll tell you rather than pretending a regrout will solve it.
Can you replace silicone around showers, baths and vanities?
Yes. We remove the old silicone, prepare the surfaces properly and install new sanitary-grade silicone. This can make a huge difference to the appearance of a tired bathroom and is an important part of maintaining wet areas.
Is regrouting cheaper than renovating a bathroom?
In many cases, yes. If your bathroom is fundamentally sound but the grout, silicone or a few tiles are letting it down, regrouting and targeted repairs can give the room a significant refresh for a fraction of the cost and disruption of a full renovation. We'll assess what's actually needed rather than recommending work you don't need.
